Typical Cuisine

Besides the typical Sardinian cuisine, the Sant'Efisio Hotel Restaurant offers local dishes of Ogliastra area. We begin with the classic culurgiones, ravioli in the shape of a droplet made by hand; it is a traditional agro-pastoral dish with fresh cheese and mint. Another typical dish is the hand-made maccaronis de Ungra with flour, eggs and potatoes.

The King of the Sardinian dish is still spit-roasting, cooked in the fireplace without seasoning or salt, the meat used is pig, wild boar and goat. For those with a sophisticated palate there are the tacculas, quails wrapped in myrtle, it’s an aromatic herb of the Mediterranean thicket. All accompanied by a glass of red wine preferably Cannonau. Do not miss the appetizers based on prosciutto, salami locally produced and the finest Sardinian cheeses.
